"My Son started with Tony in January 2003. What a difference we have seen in Tyler in these past 3 years, not only in wrestling but in everyday life He has a great confidence level in his wrestling ability, school work and everything he does, he never doubts that he can do anything. I feel we owe a lot of that confidence to Tony. Anyone who has attended a practice or camp that Tony has held will tell you that every wrestler there respects him and he gives that same respect right back to them. No yelling, no putting kids down and great level of patience with every wrestler while teaching them technique and how to find it in themselves to get mentally prepared for their matches. We have sent Tyler to a lot of camps and clinics over the years, but last year he told us we were wasting our money if Tony wasn't running it. Since Tyler has started with Tony he has taken 2nd at Missouri USA State in 2003 & 2005 both his down years, he took 1st at Missouri USA State in 2004. He also took 4th at Liberty Nationals in 2005 & 3rd at Liberty Nationals in 2006. We would just like to say Thank you Tony for being a great role model and coach to our son."

"We have 2 wrestlers in Purler Wrestling; both were somewhat successful in the state. Through 3 years with Tony’s program both are now multi time “All Americans” and one is a 6 time “National Champion” this year. Purler Wrestling is a system where high percentage moves are drilled and a mental approach taught that makes CHAMPIONS. Tony’s system will benefit kids on all levels. He breaks the moves down from set-ups to key parts, plus gives an individualized attention which all equals success on the mat. The practice room is a small group of well disciplined athletics, which will give a wrestler the opportunity to work with some of the best in the nation. His slogan should really read 'Those who stay become Champions!'”

"In the last three years, Tony has helped my son not only improve on his technique, but find a way to win on a consistent basis. Since joining, he has become a multiple state and national tournament placer. Tony works on the mental side of wrestling as much as the technical. His instruction is second to none and his focus on getting the kids prepared for tough matches is unbelievable. He always has time for extra one on one instruction. I would recommend Purler Wrestling Academy to any wrestler who is ready to take it to the next level."

"Tony Purler,
I would like to take this time to thank you for all you have done for my two sons in the sport of wrestling. They have been working with you now for the past 3 years. One of my sons is a sophomore at PHHS and the other one is still working with you as an 8th grader. Your constant assessment of their abilities and performance has been invaluable. You have a unique ability to assess each competitor as they practice with you and as you coach them in tournaments and provide a personalized analytical view with sound advice for improvement. Your calm demeanor and firm advice on improving performance is amazing. You are exceptionally effective with your wrestlers. You provide them with the tools they need to be their best and you do it with tremendous confidence, respect, and firmness. Many people can coach, many can teach but to be able to do it with the effectiveness and respect that you do is most unique. Both of my sons have been highly successful in the sport of wrestling and I believe that you and your program has been one of the biggest factors in their success. My sophomore as a youth wrestler was a state placer 3 times and held championships in Freestyle and Greco. His freshman year in high school he started as the 103 lb varsity wrestler. This year as a sophomore he placed 5th in the State Tournament. My 8th grader has been state champion four times, was runner up at state twice and this year has become a leader in the National tournaments throughout the US and is on his way to receiving the Dominator Award. Thank you for caring about each and every kid you coach and even those you don’t. You have certainly dedicated your life to building not just good, not great, but exceptional wrestlers with your program."
Sincerely,
Valerie Waters
"Tony Purler is one of the greatest amateur wrestler’s to ever come out of the State of Missouri . He is Nationally and Internationally known for his technical expertise and exciting style of wrestling. As a kid growing up in St. Charles Missouri , I would have loved to have had access to a mentor such as Tony. What an advantage for the State of Missouri and in particular the Kansas City Area. Tony’s knowledge of the sport of wrestling is unmatched and his ability to reach all levels of wrestling is unprecedented. He has a dynamic way of teaching, motivating, and helping wrestlers gain the skills needed to be the best they can be.
I am a Tony Purler fan! If I had a chance to send my two boys (Jackson & Wyatt) to Purler Wrestling Academy I would jump at it. Not only for the knowledge in the wrestling room, but also for the character in which I feel Tony possesses. Tony Purler will give you a chance to be a Champion on and off the mat."

"I have had the pleasure to coach Tony Purler on the cadet level, the collegiate level, and the Olympic level. Tony understands the work, and commitment, it takes to be successful as an athlete, and as a coach. Tony is one of the best technicians I have been lucky enough to work with in my thirty years of coaching. Tony is a student of the sport and understands the technique, tactics, strategy, and how to train and prepare athletes, so that they can reach their full potential as a wrestler. My thirty years of coaching on the high school level, collegiate level, and the Olympic level, has given me the opportunity to work with the best coaches in the country and I would not hesitate to give Tony my highest recommendation."
